Hippocrates made that observation a long time ago, but it holds true even today. The practice of medicine is a vocation, not a profession.
Wherever the art of Medicine is loved, there is also a love of Humanity - Dr. L. Subramanian
It was filled with this zest to help the ill and suffering that we started Sri Balaji Hospital, 35 years ago. With a primary focus on Orthopaedics and Trauma, and a clear long term vision, we set out to practice medicine as we believe it should be–with comprehensive and personalised care. Of course, it soon became clear that we needed to also manage pre-existing conditions and other complications to effectively treat, and so we slowly expanded our focus to the other organs and systems of the human body.
Today, Sri Balaji Hospital is a multi-specialty facility that offers care across 20 specialities. Our experienced specialists work to prevent, diagnose and cure disease using the latest modalities that are on par with corporate giants in the city, and achieve successful outcomes on par with international standards. Yet, we have also chosen to remain small in size - to better deliver complete end-to-end care that is individualised to every patient.
Perhaps I belong to an older school of thought, but I firmly believe that any treatment is most effective when it involves collaboration, not just between specialists and support staff, but also with the patients and their caregivers. In doing so, we address the symptoms of the disease, as well as their underlying causes and deliver solutions that are complete and yes, successful.
